Headquartered in Salem, CIS (Citycounty Insurance Services), was formed by the League of Oregon Cities and the Association of Oregon Counties to meet the risk management and employee benefit needs of Oregon cities, counties and other eligible local governments. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced finance professional and servant leader.
Under direction from the Executive Director, the CFO supervises Finance staff; oversees all financial aspects of our operations; manages the financial planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis functions of CIS; develops and implements short/ long-term financial strategies in support of CIS’ mission and goals, evaluates complex financing issues; proposes and implements financing alternatives based on CIS resources, priorities, and goals; provides CIS managers with policy guidance recommendations and support on key financial issues; oversees investment advisors, monitors investment portfolios for compliance and performance; builds and maintains strategic alliances with members, CIS staff, contract service providers and affiliated institutions and associations; and participates as a member of the Executive Team.
